Character Name: Shadow Milk Cookie
Canon: Cookie Run: Kingdom
Canon History: Here
It's not up to date but it gets the job done.
Canon Personality:
♣️ Theatrical - This man is a jester and he knows it. He leans into the vibe so hard that you wonder if his brain is just configured that way or if he's just putting on an elaborate act. He'll laugh manically at things that aren't funny, he'll sing-song certain words in a sentence, he'll even debate himself. He is pure concentrated clown and don't you forget it.
♥️ Lies and Deceit - As the antithesis of his counterpart, Pure Vanilla Cookie, who is the herald of truth, Shadow Milk is the epitome of lies. When he fell from grace, he noticed that people took comfort in sweet deceit instead of harsher truths, and thus, has decided that lies are the higher power versus Truth. He thinks that the best way to sow chaos is to let little droplets of deceit poison the truth, and watch the world crumble. He finds enjoyment in this. This also makes it hard to determine which part of what he says is the lie. If everything sounds juuuust true enough, how can you tell? Put a pin in this on why his occupation is perfect for him.
♠️ Intelligent - His original purpose was The Fount of Knowledge for all Cookie-kind. This meant that he knew the answers to everything once could possibly think of. Naturally, people sought out his wisdom, but their questions became more selfish, getting angry if he withheld certain knowledge from them. Questions that could lead to other Cookie's harm. For example, a Cookie asked him if they should enact revenge on a neighboring village because they thought they were a threat. The Fount of Knowledge could not give an answer to this, because saying 'yes' would cause bloodshed on the village. Saying no would cause bloodshed on the requestor's village. He's wise, smart (too smart) and knows what a power that is.
♦️ Vengeful - If anyone. ANYONE slights him, either in his goals or by simply interfering with his 'show', he WILL get angry. The playful jester facade will crack and reveal the rage underneath, showing just how much pent up rage he has towards the world.
♣️ Lonely - Underneath everything, underneath the comical jester or the unbridled hatred he has, hidden within a deep corner of his psyche, is a lonely person who wants nothing more than for someone to reach out to him and be there. To ease the pain of his loneliness. Unfortunately, it's very fragile, fragile enough that he will lash out at anyone who DOES try to touch that part of him. It stems from no one being there during his fall from grace, and his lost faith in...Cookie-manity.
♥️ Loyal - Despite all of the above, Shadow Milk places a great deal of trust in those he calls his comrades. Once you gain his trust (good luck) he will even call you a 'friend' if its not in public. He's known to take traitors very poorly. If there was camaraderie between him and someone and they broke their promise, he would take it very, very personally.
♠️ Leader - As the unofficial leader of the Beast Cookies, he takes that part in stride, and oftentimes assumes responsibility for all of them. It could be a lack of trust in them to do things on their own, but he doesn't necessarily turn down being the face of them.
AU Name: Damien ‘Shadow’ Lait (Some may also call him Shadow Milk)
AU Age: 3000
AU Birthday: January 15th
AU History:
Many, many years ago, there lived a minor god called the Fount of Knowledge. No one is sure what pantheon he belonged to, but it didn't matter. Knowledge had no borders, and everyone was welcome to come to him for his wisdom. As lonely of an existence it was, serving the people made him feel like he had purpose. A purpose that had followed him through many lifetimes, in many forms.
Their questions soon became harder to answer. Instead of seeking knowledge on how to grow grains, or when the winter's first frost would hit, they would come to him with moral dilemmas. Oh, Fount of Knowledge, this person has a grudge against me, should I strike first before he can attack me? Oh Fount of Knowledge, if the gods are all knowing, why do they let disasters happen? Oh Fount of Knowledge, what is our purpose? Such questions are not meant for mortal ears. And when the Fount of Knowledge has no answer, then they are not necessarily worth believing in, are they. The people became angry. What good was a god that didn't serve them in the way he was born to?
The Fount knew this was the path it would take, and yet...he had hopes that this lifetime would be different. With the gods so close to the mortals in this realm, perhaps understanding could blossom. Oh how wrong he was.
The only path forward at that point is disillusionment. The Fount, realizing that Truth could bring just as much pain as Deceit, wondered what point was the truth at all. People would only want to hear what would benefit them. Their requests, selfish. Their intentions, impure. Losing those who believed in him and his own purpose made him fall from grace, his purpose shattered into two. The part that valued Truth disappeared (to reappear later in the form of another) leaving him with only Deceit.
A shadow of a god, wandering the world with a new purpose. To spread lies and deceit, all while also searching for the other piece of himself. If his previous life was anything to go by...then that certain someone should be in this life as well.
As the world became more modern, and organizations like the Black Order surfaced, it became harder and harder to hide himself from their grasp. After all, a god of knowledge, even if fallen, would be very useful for their plans. Momentarily, he thought about joining them, using them to his own advantage.
But there was another organization. Zodiac. A corporation that had their finger on the pulse of the paranormal sphere, while also infinitely more freedom than the Black Order offered. He could keep an eye out for his other half, and not be shackled by 'missions' and indoctrination. What's a little paperwork with those benefits? Not to mention, it also provided shelter from the Black Order.
He was assigned to Zodiac's legal department, with two distinct purposes. One, to make believable histories for the transplants of this world, making sure they were accepted as the truth. Second, to represent Zodiac in (almost) all things legal. Wiggle them out of the hot seat when fingers point just a little too close to Zodiac's direction.
What better use of a god of deceit than to weave truth and lies together until they are indistinguishable from each other?
His finger, however, would always be on the pulse of Zodiac, looking for the one with his light of Truth. The one who makes him whole. It's not gay I swear (this is a lie).
AU Personality Differences: Personality wise he'll be pretty much the same, with the exception of not being an active threat to the plot. In this AU he is trying to make himself 'whole' again. He will sow chaos, but he won't be actively trying to kill people.

His eyes are heterochromatic: 1 light blue sclera with a dark blue pupil/eyelashes on one eye, 1 dark blue sclera with white pupil/eyelashes on the other (1 point), and pointed ears.
